Our Merchandise & Buying team plan and source every product that you see on SurfStitch, ensuring that our selection is relevant and enticing for our diverse customer base.

The Warehouse team is the biggest at SurfStitch. They receive, process and ship thousands of items every day, ensuring that our customers receive their orders faster than they expect!

Our Customer Service team are the first point of contact for our customers. They go above and beyond to ensure our customers have a great experience with us every time.

What is SurfStitch looking for in a candidate?

While many of our roles require specialist skills, attitude and potential are equally important in our recruitment decisions! Above all, we look for candidates who have proven themselves to be motivated, hard-working and adaptable. We get hundreds of job applications every week, so make sure you make yourself stand out, while also focusing on the requirements of the position you’re applying for.

Do I need to be a SurfStitch customer to apply?

It certainly helps if you have experienced our customer service! We have employees from a variety of working backgrounds, but if you have specialist knowledge in the surf/action sports industry, or in e-commerce, that’s a bonus.

Does SurfStitch sponsor skilled overseas workers to work in Australia?

Who wouldn’t want to work in Australia! For the right candidate, we can consider sponsorship on a 457 visa. This usually only applies to senior level and hard-to-fill roles.

Does SurfStitch offer internships?

We have a limited number of internships available in areas such as Marketing, Design and Buying. The internship must be a compulsory part of your course, and we prefer interns who have a long-term desire to join our team!

What happens after I submit my application?

You will get a call from us if we are interested in chatting to you about your application. Please be patient – good things take time! What does the recruitment process involve?

Our recruitment process is a collaboration between the People & Culture team and the Hiring Manager (and in some cases, other members of the relevant team). The process is dependent on the type of role – it may involve a panel interview, a skills test or even a presentation. You will be kept informed throughout to give you the best chance of success.
